Central Ohio 4th of July Parades, Celebrations and Fireworks

Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with a bang in Central Ohio! As the 4th of July approaches, communities across the region are gearing up to host spectacular parades and fireworks presentations that showcase patriotism, community spirit, and family fun. Here is our guide to the best places to celebrate!

Columbus

July 3rd, 2023: 11:00 am to 10:00 pm: Red, White, and Boom!

Experience a full day of festivities along the breathtaking riverfront at Red White and Boom, culminating in the Midwest’s most renowned fireworks spectacle. This highly anticipated annual event will treat you to live music, live entertainment, and fun family activities. Come hungry because there is a wide selection of food trucks.

11:00 am – Boom! Street Festival starts

5:30 pm – Ford Oval of Honor, Red, White, and Boom! Parade
The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. from the Main Street Bridge, heading north on Front Street, and will conclude at the intersection of Front Street and Spring Street.

10:00 pm – Boom! Fireworks
Fireworks will be shot off from Genoa Park on the East Bank. Grab your spot early!

Dublin

Join the festivities in Dublin, Ohio, this 4th of July for a day filled with celebrations! Here’s the schedule:

Hilliard

July 4, 2023, 9:00 am: 4th of July Parade
The 4th of July parade is hosted by the Franklin County Agriculture Society. This year, the parade will feature a new route starting from the Franklin County fairgrounds. Here is the updated parade route map:

July 1, 2023: 5:00pm to Dusk: Hilliard Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day weekend at the annual Freedom Fest in Municipal Park. Enjoy performances by artists like Jameson Rodgers, Dalton Dover, and Trae Myers.

The event features food trucks, swimming, a Kid Zone, concerts, and a spectacular fireworks show at dusk. Presented by the City of Hilliard and sponsored by the Credit Union of Ohio.

Gahanna

July 4, 2023: 10:30 am: Gahanna 4th of July Parade

The Gahanna Lions Club 4th of July parade will start at Clark Hall and proceed out of the assembly area onto Granville Street. The parade will end at the Royal Plaza shopping center on Stygler road.

Lewis Center

July 4, 2023: 10:00 am:

The Lewis Center 4th of July parade will begin at the roundabout in front of Olentangy Orange Middle School on Orange Road, then proceed east along Orange Road to the roundabout at Walker Wood Blvd and Abbey Knoll Dr. From there, it will turn south along Walker Wood Blvd and continue to the entrance of Olentangy Orange High School. The parade will then proceed west through the High School drive.

Spectators are welcome to sit on either side of the streets along the parade route.

Lewis Center is not hosting any fireworks displays this year.

Reynoldsburg

July 3, 2023, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm:
Independence Day Celebration at Civic Park, 6800 Daugherty Drive

The City of Reynoldsburg invites you to its spectacular Independence Day Celebration in Civic Park! This night is filled with live entertainment, food vendors, engaging activities for the whole family, a fun kids’ zone, and ends with a breathtaking fireworks display. Gates open at 6:00 pm, with fireworks starting at 9:45 pm.

July 4, 2023, 10:00 am:
Fourth of July Parade

The Reynoldsburg Community Association takes the lead in organizing Reynoldsburg’s annual 4th of July parade.

The parade starts at the Rosehill Road and Main St. intersection before turning right onto Haft Drive and then a left onto Davidson Drive. The parade ends at Huber Park.

Sunbury

July 4, 2023, 10:00 am:

Join the celebration on the Town Square with Sunbury’s annual Independence Day parade. Hosted by the Big Walnut Civic Association.

End your day at Big Walnut Middle School for live music, food, and entertainment before the fireworks.

Upper Arlington

Upper Arlington has a long history of being one of the area’s best parades and fireworks displays. If you plan to watch the parade, get there early! Many residents put out lawn chairs days in advance to hold their spots. This is one of my favorite 4th of July parades in Central Ohio

The Rotary Club of Westerville is proud to present Westerville’s 2023 Independence Day Celebration with the theme “Red, White and Blue and Liberty Too.”

July 4, 2023, 7:30 am:
5K Walk/Run

The Westerville Athletic Complex will host the 5K Walk/Run starting at 8 a.m. A Veterans Honor Guard Ceremony will precede the race at the city’s new Veterans Memorial in the park at 7:30 a.m., followed by Kids Fun Run dashes around 7:45 a.m.

July 4, 2023, 5:00 pm – 9:45 pm:
Westerville’s Free Concert Series and Food Truck Festival

Enjoy live music and a variety of food trucks at the Athletic Complex from 5 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

July 4. 2023, 10:00 pm:
Westerville Independence Day Fireworks Show

Witness Westerville’s fireworks display launched from Heritage Park near Everal Barn.

Worthington Hills

Get ready for the Worthington Hills July 4th Celebration! Save the dates and join in the festivities:

June 30, 2023, 5:00 pm:
Stars + Stripes Softball Games at Worthington Hills Elementary School. The “Littles” game (age nine and younger) starts at 5:00 pm, followed by the “Tweens” game (age 10-17) at 6:00 pm, and the adult game at 7:00 pm. Enjoy free hot dogs and hamburgers while supplies last, and no tickets or registration is required.

July 1, 2023, 7:15 am:
Firecracker Trot 5k at Worthington Hills Elementary School. The race starts at 8:30 am, with on-site check-in beginning at 7:15 am. Early registration (before June 18) is $15 for 18 and under, and $20 for 19 and older. After June 18, the registration fee is $25 for all ages.

July 2, 2023, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm:
Family Fun Fest at Worthington Hills Elementary School from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Presale tickets will be available in June and can also be purchased at the event.

July 4, 2023: 12:00 pm:
Independence Day parade with a Disney theme.
