If you’re looking for great dining experiences in Columbus, Ohio, look no further than the Arena District. This bustling neighborhood in the heart of downtown is home to some of the city’s best restaurants, offering a wide variety of cuisines and dining styles to suit any taste.

From Italian family-style dining to Brazilian steakhouse feasts, the Arena District has it all.

Today, we are taking a closer look at the top restaurants in the Arena District that you won’t want to miss on your next visit to Columbus.

So whether you’re a local looking for new dining options or a visitor hoping to experience the city’s vibrant food scene, read on for our recommendations of the best restaurants in the Arena District.

Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza

If you are looking for a sit-down, family dining experience reminiscent of early day pizza shops, then Boston’s will become your new favorite. Quality, service, and a friendly environment have been integral to Boston Pizza’s success for over 50 years.

Now, in the Arena District, this chain pizza restaurant brings some of the best pizza to Columbus.

Boston’s Gourmet Pizza offers a wide range of pizza, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, appetizers and drinks. From seasonal favorites like Nonna’s Meatballs, Taco Pizza, Spicy Texan Pizza and Pesto Chicken Pizza to classic pizzas and pasta dishes.

A separate sport bar area is a great place to hang out for a few drinks before heading over to catch a Blue Jackets, Columbus Crew, or Clippers game.

My personal favorites is the Mama Meata Pizza which is smothered in smoked ham, ground beed, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and covered with cheddar, mozzarella cheese and Bolognese sauce.

And if you are not in the mood for pizza, there is plenty of non-pizza options to choose from! The Chicken and Shrimp Pasta and Creamy Cajun Pasta are two of my favorite non-pizza options.

Nada

Nada is an upscale Mexican restaurant that offer a unique dining experience in the heart of the Arena District. Their menu features a blend of traditional and contemporary Mexican dishes made with the freshest ingredients and bold flavors. From sizzling fajitas to hand-crafted margaritas, every dish is carefully prepared with an eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.

Nada’s elegant and stylish interior provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening, a night out with friends, a pre-game or pre-concert meal, or want to celebrate a special celebration, Nada is the perfect choice.

My absolute favorite meal at Nada is the Braised Chicken Enchiladas. It is usually my go-to meal. I also recommend the Loaded Queso and Crispy Brussels.

Nada can also host private events. I also recommend calling ahead for reservations, or to find our wait times before heading down. This is a popular restaurant!

Rodizio Grill

If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s truly out of the ordinary, a Brazilian steakhouse like Rodizio Grill should be at the top of your list. With its unique all-you-can-eat format and table-side service, this style of dining offers a fun and festive atmosphere that’s perfect for special occasions or just a night out with friends.

At a Brazilian steakhouse, you can savor a wide variety of succulent meats, cooked to perfection and served right at your table. The staff walks around with huge slabs of meats, even grilled pineapple and carves it right on your plate. There are lots of side dishes you can add to your plate, and the variety is incredible. You will most likely leave stuffed so come hungry!

Since the staff comes along frequently, if you find yourself falling behind, you can use a red and green wooden block to inform the staff when you want food delivered to your table or when you need a short break.

I have eaten here several times. While it can be pricey compared to other food options in the Arena District, keep in mind that you are getting high end cuts of meats such as prime rib, steak, pork, chicken and more, slow roasted over a rotisserie grill, plus all you can eat side dishes, salads and desserts.

Rodizio Grill is one of my favorite Arena District restaurants and one I frequent with my wife or coworkers a few times throughout the year. They can handle large groups and events but always call ahead for a reservation or to get the wait list times especially if there is a game or concert going on in the area.

My service and food has always been top notch.

If you’re a fan of classic American breakfast and brunch fare, a visit to Sunny Street Cafe in Columbus, Ohio is a must. This casual dining spot offers a menu full of delicious and satisfying dishes, from fluffy pancakes and waffles to hearty omelets and breakfast sandwiches.

The Sunny Street Cafe also made our “Best Brunch in Columbus List” and is a popular spot for those who love a great breakfast or “breakfast” for lunch.

One of the most, highly recommended breakfast dishes is the Famous Hearty Breakfast. This features two eggs, buttermilk pancakes, choice of bacon, sausage or ham, and choice of sides.

Be sure to try the Loaded Hash Browns as they are incredible!

Ted’s Montana Grill

If you’re craving a taste of classic American cuisine with a unique twist, a visit to Ted’s Montana Grill in the Arena District is a must. While any restaurants come and go, Ted’s Montana Grill has been a cornerstone.

This chain restaurant specializes in bison burgers and other dishes made with high-quality, sustainable ingredients sourced from around the country. With a warm and welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for families, friends, or colleagues, Ted’s Montana Grill offers a dining experience that’s both comfortable and upscale.

What I like best about Ted’s (besides the food of course) is their vast choice of Wine, Beer (bottled, draft and local craft beers) and hand-crafted cocktails.

While I like the Bison Meatloaf Sandwich or Bison Meatloaf, bison may not be your thing. And that is OK, because Ted’s serves a wide range of alternatives should you prefer salads, seafood, chicken, or traditional beef.

Regardless of what you order, I highly recommend the Salt and Pepper Onion Rings, which are hand-breaded and dipped in horseradish sauce. They are amazing!

Another appetizer I have tried and enjoyed was the Bar None Sliders. These miniature hamburgers have beef or bison options available and come with homemade chips.

Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty burger, a fresh salad, or a perfectly cooked steak, you’ll find something to satisfy your appetite at Ted’s Montana Grill in Columbus. Just be sure to call ahead to see if you will need reservations on the day and time you plan to attend. Weekends, Clipper / Blue Jacket / Columbus Crew game nights and concerts at Nationwide Arena can be packed and hard to get in unless you call ahead.
