Putt Your Way to Fun: The Best Mini-Golf
in Columbus, Ohio
Mini golf has a long history behind it. Still, the courses we enjoy today have much in common with the original 1916 one, with its whimsical obstacles like windmills, waterwheels, and castles.
Whether your family has yet to discover the fun and challenge of putting, or mini golf has become a regular activity, you will love checking out the various locations recommended in this list of the best mini golf courses in Columbus, from outdoor mini golf in the summer to glow-in-the-dark indoor courses during colder seasons.
Glow Putt
Glow Putt is a fun and unique spot to take children who might not want to spend more than an hour playing. You can do the entire thing in about 45 minutes, and the cool effects will keep everyone entertained the whole time. It’s also great for adults – but keep in mind that the place is relatively small, and is best for groups of 4 or fewer.
For special events and birthdays, they do offer the option of renting out rooms. They do not serve food and only have bottled water, but there are many restaurants around if you get hungry!

Westerville Golf Center
With two elaborately landscaped 18-hole courses plus batting cages, this is the place to be when the weather warms up. One of the best mini golf courses in Columbus, Westerville Golf Center is reasonably priced, the staff is nice and helpful, and you might like the fact that it is featured in the Guinness Book of Records for the most holes played by an individual in 24 hours.
The heaters in the winter and the roofs in the summer are a really nice touch. The golf course generally opens in April, and they host birthday parties and special events.

Miner 49’er Black Light Mini Golf
While Miner 49’er Black Light Mini Golf is indoors-only, it still gets a spot as one of the best mini golf courses in Columbus because it is so well thought out. The murals are beautiful, the courses are challenging enough to keep things interesting, and they also serve food and drinks.
Their menu includes dishes like pizza, BBQ nachos, pork shank, hand-scooped milkshakes, and more. And if you’re raising money for a cause, they will donate a portion of their profits to your school or organization!

It is very kid-friendly, but don’t hesitate to go there with a group of adults. There’s something for everyone!

Olentangy Mini Golf
Olentangy is one of the best mini golf courses in Columbus (technically in Delaware but a quick drive by car) in part because it is so well-maintained, with manicured landscaping and colorful flowers. You can tell that the staff takes pride in providing a clean and fun experience.
The course is fairly straightforward, but look out for some tricky spots that keep things interesting. As with other similar spots, it is not open year-round, so keep an eye out in the Spring!
