Short North Holiday Hop returns on December 2, 2023  in the Short North Arts District. The holiday version of Gallery Hop includes a cosmopolitan display of sights, sounds, food, and drink.

About Short North Holiday Hop

Short North Holiday Hop is a well-known Columbus institution and the year’s largest Gallery Hop. The Short North Arts District is Columbus’ most active neighborhood, with over 300+ local businesses. It has garnered multiple national awards, is regarded as a model for urban rehabilitation, and is referred to as Columbus’ art and soul.

Holiday Hop celebrates the art and soul of the holiday season. It is a well-known arts celebration where tourists may shop at the distinct assortment of merchants and boutiques along High Street while enjoying the Christmas decor, performances, and special events that take place throughout the season. Visit your favorite Short North Arts District boutiques and galleries as well as spectacular Christmas street entertainment and shopping from local craftsmen.

Key Highlights:

• Holiday tree sales: Get into the festive spirit with holiday tree sales from Oakland Nurseries. A share of the proceeds goes to benefit charity, spreading joy beyond the season.
• Free gift wrapping: Visit The FIG Room and experience the joy of giving. Receive free gift wrapping in exchange for donations to Dress for Success, supporting those in need during the holidays.
• Toys for tots drive: Embrace the true meaning of the season with the Toys for Tots Drive by Rock City Church, in collaboration with ABC6. Bring a smile to a child’s face this holiday.
• Ice carving and more: Marvel at the artistry of Sculptdecor’s ice carving, and don’t miss special visits from Santa and enchanting holiday decor that will transport you to a winter wonderland.
• Holiday Fashion: Witness the magic of “Fashion Is Holiday,” presented by the Columbus Fashion Alliance. Discover the latest in holiday fashion that will have you turning heads at every celebration.
• Festive street performances: Enjoy the rhythm of the season with live music playing throughout the event. Join the community sing-along at 7 p.m. for a heartwarming moment of togetherness.
• Hot beverages: Warm your spirits with complimentary drinks, indulge in an eggnog tasting, and more, courtesy of our various partners.

  The “Holiday Hop” will begin at 4 p.m. and will continue throughout the evening with events and activities. The event is free to attend.

📍 Short North Arts District

• East/West accessibility for vehicles to access parking garages will still be provided at Russell and High, Buttles/Bollinger and High, Hubbard and High, and 2nd and High.
• Patrons interested in ridesharing can access a $5 discount prior to 8 p.m. on Lyft rides, bikes or scooters to or from the Short North Arts District on Saturday, Dec. 2. To take advantage of this discount, users must enter promo code SN23SLEIGH on the Lyft app under payment. 
• Participating businesses also offer free first-hour garage parking validation for customers who park at The Joseph, The Lincoln, The Hub or the garage at Second and High from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
