Dublin Irish Festival
August 4, 2023 - August 6, 2023
The Dublin Irish Festival will be held August 4th – 6th, 2023, at Coffman Park in Dublin, Ohio. The three-day-long festival is one of the city’s most popular events, always held on the first weekend in August.
About the Dublin Irish Festival
The Dublin Irish Festival is the world’s largest three-day Irish Festival, located right here in Dublin, Ohio. As one of the city’s standout events, the Irish Festival has gained international recognition for its commitment to celebrating Irish music, dance, culture, and tradition. The Irish Festival was founded in 1988 by the Dublin Irish Celebration. Eventually, the City of Dublin took over management, and the event continues to this day, growing yearly.
With lots to do and see, it is a great event that is fun for all ages. According to the Dublin Irish Festival’s official website, approximately 100,000 people attend each year.
Tickets are required for guests over the age of 10. You can purchase them online, at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, or the gate. You can save $5 off the one-day ticket price if you purchase them online. Tickets will be available online up until August 6th.
Entertainment is O’plenty (see what I did there? LOL)…
Music, Dance, and Story
Seven stages will fill the park for three days with Irish and Celtic music, spoken word, and dance acts. Each stage will feature local and national acts, from dance groups to pipe and drum bands and just about every musical genre you can imagine. There will even be music clinics featuring Irish instruments. For a complete entertainment schedule, check out the entertainment calendar.
Art and Shopping
If you would rather spend your time shopping, then over 90 vendors will be on hand with a wide variety merchandise, including unique handmade gifts, jewelry, art, and home decor. Get a head start on Christmas shopping!
For those who love a great game of Darts, you can compete in the dart tent or check out a seminar or two to learn more about the game.
Sports and Dublin Irish Festival 5k
Another attraction is the sports, including several athletes and teams competing in the traditional Highland Games, a series of unique field events originating in Scotland. For those of you who are runners, the Dublin Irish Festival 5k and Kids Dash will be held on Thursday, August 3rd, in Historic Dublin. Stay afterward for a post-race party and concert! If you sign up for the 5k, you will get one complimentary ticket to the main festival.
Food and Drink
What Irish Festival would be complete without food and drink? Various foods will be available, from traditional Irish Stews to Irish breakfasts. And if you want something a little closer to home, food trucks and tents can provide you with many options.
If Whiskey is your thing, whiskey tastings are taking place over the weekend. Advanced registration is required.
Pot O’ Gold Playground
The Pot O’ Gold Playground can be found in the Wee Folk play area. It has over 20 inflatables, craft tables, contests, and child-appropriate performances. It is fun for the whole family, but especially your little ones.
